My Amazon Wish List

I have to admit, after the last 2 years of being cooped up inside due to a global pandemic, I have gotten totally hooked on online shopping.

I’m especially a sucker for Amazon Prime. The fast delivery and massive selection just can’t be beat!

But I am also trying NOT to buy every little thing I see and instantly fall in love with. Even the wine books and gadgets!

So instead, I am putting together my current Amazon Wish List. Now if any of my friends or family need gift ideas, I’m just going to send them straight here! Hahahahahahahaha.

What’s on your wish list? Let me know if you’ve got any suggestions!

(P.S. All of the below images all clickable Amazon links, in case you are looking to purchase them as well! Purchasing through these links does give me a small commission, which helps me keep this site running, but it doesn’t cost you anything extra!)

WINE BOOKS I’M DYING TO READ

The Science of Wine looks like a fascinating read. My brain LOVES diving into the WHY behind literally everything, so I can patch it all together like a mind-map. So learning about the science that goes into the growing and winemaking processes has been really eye-opening for me.

Still along with the science theme, I not only want to know what happens when the science goes right, I also want to know when it goes wrong!! I don’t have any books yet in my library on wine faults, and it’s a subject that always seems to be covered only briefly in courses and trainings. I would love to learn more about that as well!

I would also love to learn more about “noble rot”/botrytis. It’s just crazy to me that we took these moldy grapes and turned them into outrageously delicious sweet wines! I gotta learn more. I’m way too curious.

WINE TOOLS AND GADGETS

I already have a coravin, but this is a simpler and less expensive model, more appropriate for every day use with less expensive wines. I’d like to see how the two compare. Then I could write a review for you guys and let you know if it’s worth splurging on pricier option.

I have the Schott Zweisel Sauvignon Blanc glasses, and I absolutely adore them. I love the funky angular shape, and that they are extremely resilient and dishwasher safe. We haven’t managed to break a single one yet! Eventually, I’d like to replace my red glassware with their Burgundy glasses, which are equally gorgeous (and hold a LOT of wine!).

I wouldn’t complain about a set of their coupe glasses either! I just recently went to a very cool speakeasy with fabulous cocktails and fell in love with their coupe glasses. And I don’t have any yet! I think I need some for my champagne! (Where do you stand on the coupe vs. flute debate? Maybe once I have a set of these, I can settle the debate for myself).

To go along with my fascination on the science of wine, why not some home wine experiments? A friend of mine makes wine at home and I’d love to give it whirl, just to get that hands on experience while I’m living too far away from a winery to do it for real.

LITTLE EXTRAS

I have a few of these already, but they have been taken over by water bottles and shaker cups. I need more for my wine! I particularly like these ones because they are individuals and can be used to create rows or columns, depending on what you have for available space. My old ones are rows of three and they just didn’t fit that well in my fridge.

With all the glassware I’ve been accumulating, I’m running out of space! But my shelving unit has particularly high shelves, and a few of these would easily double the amount of glassware I could fit in there. Stems on the top, stemless on the bottom, problem solved!

I actually can’t believe I don’t have an ice bucket yet. And I love that this one is acrylic so you can see what’s inside! The number of times I have forgotten to chill wine until the last minute….. Sure I could put it in the freezer, but this looks so much cooler!

It annoys me endlessly that the two edges of my bathtub aren’t even, so I can’t put my wine on one of those cute bath caddies with a good book. No, instead, I have to leave my wine on the floor where I’m constantly defending it from curious cats and dogs! I need one of these bath wine holders to keep my precious wine safe while I enjoy a luxurious bubble bath.

And finally, I gotta start doing something with all these wine bottles! Yeah, I could take them to the bottle depot and get my few cents back, but some of them are so pretty! I want to keep them to make cute candles or store my makeup brushes in or something. What a fun craft night!!
